Getting The Right Reception band

By Melanie Crisp

You want the perfect reception band for your special occasion. Regardless of the reason for the occasion, you want to create a delightful atmosphere for all your reception guests. When you have the perfect reception band you can celebrate as lively or as subtlety as you wish depending on your choices in music.

One of the fastest means of finding the best reception bands is by searching online using Google or Yahoo search engines. You may also consider finding a professional band booking agent to help in your search. You can find these as well by searching for agents online.

In general bands do not specialise in a particular type of venue but do in a particular type of music. So when you start looking only search for bands that play your music otherwise you are just wasting your time.

Now that you have found some good reception bands, you will most likely visit their websites or their social networking sites such as FaceBook. Most likely they will provide you with some great mp3s and or videos of their music so you can check them out.

Take the time to call the various locations they have played to learn about their client reviews. You may even wish to visit a location where they are playing to get a better idea. Also ask about their learning to play music they do not already know. Most are more than happy to do so as this helps keep their act fresh and exciting for them and their clients.

You should do some more research into the matter once you select a reception band, especially before making any type of payment agreement. Make sure your chosen location has a license for live music. You also need to find out about the parking area. Most reception bands carry along their own equipment and will need to bring it inside for their use.

Once inside you need to check the stage area for the band is big enough to play on and has plenty of power outlets nearby. Another thing to bear in mind is some venues have sound limiters and if the band play their music too high then it will cut the power so please make the band aware of this.

How much should you pay for good reception bands? As much as you can afford basically! You would not skimp on your wedding dress or cake would you? Although whatever they ask for may seem like a lot but they are professionals who take their work seriously and have vast experience compared to what you may get with a cheap inexperienced pub band. After all you want to remember your big day for the right reasons.

Learn To Sing - Lessons Are A Must

By Michelle Rudge

If you can sing already, or even if you sing in public and even get paid for it; singing lessons will help you to become better. And if you can't sing, or just think that you can't sing, lessons are the perfect way for you to boost your confidence and learn the basic, yet vital steps.

Even though I've been singing in my church (and other public arenas) for the last 10 years, it was only a few years ago that I finally went to my first singing lesson. After all those years of singing I had lulled myself into this false sense of security, believing that I knew enough to get by in my amateur singing. But I had no idea how limited my singing was.

Learning to breathe properly was the first thing that I learnt in my very first lesson. Such a simple principle but one that I hadn't learnt so I was so limited in what I could do when I sang. This simple principle is a foundation for any singer and was the basis for which I was able to improve my singing with each lesson.

Even though I loved the lessons, and was being taught by a fantastic singer herself. I came to a situation in my life where I was no longer able to afford the lessons. By this time though, I had grasped just how important it was for me to continue lessons if I was going to keep improving. That's when I started to look online to see if there was a more affordable alternative for me.

And I was so glad to find, that there are lots and lots singing lessons that you can get online. And this is a very suitable alternative. With theory lessons, audio tracks, backing tracks and practices, the internet has made learning to sing something you can easily do using an online course.

Brief Guide To Shooting Videos: Green Screen Studios

By Phillip Guye

Whether you are an amateur or a professional, when it comes to making use of green screen studio, you are all practically on the same boat. Being in the same environment makes you prone to following the same set of guidelines and in any case whether you are bankrolled by a multi-billion project, or you simply easy want to shoot a Happy Birthday video for your better half, you have got to follow the same set of rules in using green screen terraces.

First off how do green screen studios work? The entire concept of green screens and blue screens were highly preferred back in the seventy's when you will see the tacky but iconic weatherman delivering the report and pointing at an enormous animated map beside him which would at times switch to footage and images and till later on returning to the map.

What they do is that they make the weatherman stand in front of a green background and then deliver his report there. After that, the editors get the video to take out the green background or the blue background and then substitute it with a picture of the map and the other photographs that they'll be putting in there.

In that time, a lot of costs are saved because of the green screen. Imagine not being forced to prepare numerous props and travelling to locations to deliver a scene. In modern times, the green screen has proven its purpose not only in weather reporting but in creating upscale films with special effects. A perfect example will be that of Star Wars. From there it has escalated to a different kind of art form. The modernity of software available today has made nice things possible through the use of green screen terraces.

plenty of software these days supports recording and modifying videos in chroma background. Because of this, practically anybody with a massive basement or a garage and one who knows the best way to properly light up a background can make special effects that would have made 70's sci-fi directors drool. If you can make green screen studio in your own home, then the following responsibility will get left to learning the way to edit it. This is where stuff becomes a bit more difficult. It'll also be a test of your concerns. Are you ready to spend such a great deal of time, effort and not to mention the learning curve of making your own videos?

Real Sounding Percussion Through Beat Making Programs

By Anthony Carter

There's a lot involved with being a solo music artist these days. To produce quality-sounding recordings, you have to be ambitious as much as frugal. Getting a music career off the ground can take a lot of money, and so you have to think about all the different ways you can save. Even with hip hop music, the effect of having someone literally behind a drum kit in the studio is unsurpassed. But there are many programs that are making great strides to simulate that sound. An essential to a full studio sound is percussion, and if you aim to save money you should consider these beat making programs.

But what exactly are beat making programs? Well it really is as simple as it sounds. Programs and software that has been specifically designed to allow people to make realistic and unique beats to accompany their music.

You will not have a hard time locating beat making programs. They are a dime a dozen and they range dramatically in terms of functionality and price. Generally, the less you can do the less the program costs and vice versa. I have compiled three of the more popular programs and have arranged them without order. They all stand equal to one another based on general public opinion, rating, and reviews.

Perhaps the growing favorite among hip hop producers and beat makers of all types is the software known as Fruity Loops. They have already made five updates to the software through new additions since the software was released early into the millennium. Fruity Loops is recommended most on its simplicity of use and extensive tutorial modes. This allows even the newest people to the software to start making quality beats fast. You can download a trial version of the software from: http://flstudio.image-line.com/documents/download.html, but purchasing the software for full functionality will generally run somewhere between fifty to one hundred dollars.

Another popular model of beat making software is part of the line put out from Sony software. It is compacted in with recording software known as Acid Pro. The most popular version of Acid Pro is 4. 0, although it has undergone a few upgrades since this version. The best thing about Acid Pro is that while you have a vast amount of options for beat making, you can also record on top of that. This is a plus for anyone trying to make quality rap beats, or just looking for good recording software that supplies drum accompaniment. The full version will cost you somewhere in the ballpark of $175. You can try a trial of the latest Acid Pro programming from here:http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/download/trials

The first two mentioned programs were exclusively for those running PCs. The only drawback to this is the increasing popularity of Mac computers. So I had to include software to make beats that can be used on a Mac, and this means Reason. This is the highest recommended recording software for Mac, and among the highest rated overall. It boasts an exhausting library of available sounds for beats including specific drums from specific kits and other odd sounds. Similar to Acid Pro, you can record on top of adding percussion which makes it a lot more diverse.

So now nothing should be stopping you.

So now you know. Making beats is as simple as a download. This means that with a little bit of work and dedication to what you are learning, you can be making some industry standard beats in no time at all. And that sure beats the money you could spend on a real live drummer in your studio.

Cast includes Timothy Hullon, Mandy Patinkin, Lindsay Crouse, Edward Asner, Ellen Barkin, Julie Bovasso, Tovah Feldshuh, Joseph Leon, Amanda Plummer, and John Rubinstein. (130 minutes, 1983)

In some way, this film manages to find room for subplots in reference to a Television show and a friend who has a try as an adult-film entrepreneur with a sort of bohemian knowledgeable porn actress. Cast includes Freddie Prinze, Jr., Julia Stiles, Shawn Hatosy, Selma Blair, Zak Orth, Ashton Kutcher, Rosario Dawson, Henry Winkler, and Lucie Amaz. (91 minutes, 2000)

Magnificent Beats With Top DJ Equipment

By Terry Dobson

Everyone wants to become a good DJ; having the entire room waiting for your next song and dancing the night away is amazing. While it isn't necessarily easy to become a DJ, it can be done. Start out by choosing your favorite musical genre and begin to obtain the appropriate DJ equipment.

Potential superstar DJs must ask themselves whether they are going to mix popular house beats, choose the more underground scene of drum and bass or garage or even opt for the slower, but equally rewarding hip hop. Irrelevant of the choice of music, it is of greater importance for the suitable DJ equipment in the making of a DJ.

DJ-ing in the present days is done in three major ways, each method employing a specialized kind of equipment. The conventional kind of DJ-ing makes use of vinyl records that are spun on two or more decks and physically mixed by the DJ. With CD mixers, which are similar in appearance to turntables, a DJ has the ability to use two or more mixers, which enables him to match the beat of several songs to get the desired sound.

The last step to mix beats together is with computer software where the beats are stored as sortable files on the computer. These forms allows the DJ to utilize a number of different musical mediums and can be combined in a single set up also.

As there is a uplift in the trend of dance music as a genre, there a huge market for DJ equipment industry at present time. Justifiably as greater numbers of people select to emulate their idols, the sales of DJ gear boosts.

Many companies offer cheaper prices to attract more beginner DJ's. To start DJ-ing, items can be purchased in a cost effective package, or for the picky customer, can be bought piece by piece in a package that is right for you.

After you have purchased your set up,you can start mixing. Turntables and mixers are musical instruments in their own right, whilst the DJ is not typically mixing tunes of their own making; it is the ability to mix these tunes seamlessly, and to create interesting loops and effects.

The ultimate for the DJ is to have the crowd waiting with baited breath for the drop; the part of the tune when the bass comes and delivers an exciting beat and melody. In the end those people purchasing DJ equipment must determine their own requirements before buying.

Choosing from the thousands of items available to set up your system can be intimidating, but by researching your options, you can soon become a sound mixing master.
