While, as mentioned, reggae seems to be synonymous with Jamaica and Jamaican music, the truth is reggae was created primarily from American r'n'b and African drumming and chanting, technically making it the least genuine musical contribution to come from Jamaica.

Reggae continued to ascend to popularity over the next decade. Island records, a small independent label, were responsible for bringing reggae outside of Jamaica and to the United Kingdom. Initially, it was associated with the ghettos of the UK and with the gang and crime elements and lifestyle; this changed when Jimmy Cliff's "Wonderful Beautiful People" laid down the ideology of the hippie movement popular in American music of the time and created a lasting association. Around the same time, reggae singles began to include an instrumental version of the main track as the flipside song on a release; this helped to popularize many producers and engineers and would end up being the accepted method of release for many singles from all genres from all over the world.

Reggae music was brought to worldwide recognition by Bob Marley and the Wailers. I will experiment with them soon and update this review. Range can severely suffer if you start walking around corners or have too much between the headphones and the transmitter. Wow, I have been waiting literally years for a quality set of wireless headphones. I listened to many including the previous generation of Sennheiser's.

This would be OK if the instructions were clear about this. But I didn't find them so.

Headphones stay on, regardless of source volume level. This is a hassle with the RS 130s as they shut off when the volume was low. Everything is well designed and well-constructed. It all feels very solid. I wanted wireless headphones with good battery life, sound quality, and comfort. I use these headphones for music, movies, and gaming. I am not a techno geek but I know good sound when I hear it. These have no hiss or any other interferences as of yet.

He has done a disservice to his company, in my opinion. In conclusion, you won't be disappointed with the quality of sound and comfort of the 180's -- top notch. Very comfortable and out on patio with great volume. The grandkids can I watch TV.

Another flaw - ALC button (to boost speech range)is located on transmitter only, so you have to walk to it to turn it on if you have a hard time hearing dialogs in movies. This is why I gave it 3 out of 5 for ease of use.

For our installation, at least, it was an annoyance to have the charger integrated with the transmitter. The transmitter has to be physically tied to the TV sound source with a cable, which limits your choices for where to plug in the charging station. The sound starts breaking up at about 25 feet but because I am sitting maybe 10 feet from my big screen 99% of the time this is not a big deal. The thing I dislike most is the volume up/on-off/volume down button set on the underside of the right ear piece.

I am the kind of TV watcher that constantly inches the volume up bit by bit until the wife screams bloody murder at me to TURN IT DOWN! The last pair of wireless headphones I tried were years ago. This was, no doubt, influenced by the headphone amp of my 5200ES. You would think a $1500.00 dollar receiver could do better, but alas that is a nit that I shall pick another day.
