A Quick Guide To iPod Battery For Your iPod Nano 8GB

By James Logan

iPod battery life is important for many users. Once an iPod battery wears out, it is not easily changed by users. That's true, to a point, as the battery is lithium based; although it can be recharged up to 500 times, it does degrade over time.

When that happens, although it is possible for users to change the iPod battery themselves, many people don't want to risk damaging their iPod Nano 8GB. Did Apple actually create the iPod Nano 8GB to be a disposable digital audio player? No. Users expect the iPod Nano 8GB to last a long time.

The lifespan of the iPod battery is only a few years, as it is lithium based. As expected, after a few hundred charges, a lithium battery wears out. Users who think they can simply open the iPod Nano 8GB case and take off and change the battery will be disappointed.

This is because the iPod battery is soldered into the iPod Nano 8GB case. The frustration of unable to change the iPod battery didn't last long though, as savvy marketers took advantage of the situation and offered owners of the iPod Nano 8GB an alternative replacement iPod battery, that had instructions on how to remove the old battery and insert the new one. Owners of the iPod Nano 8GB may opt to ship their device to Apple for iPod battery replacement.

Users can also learn how to maximize the iPod battery power by logging on to the Apple website. The following tips and tricks will ensure your iPod battery will last longer: An iPod battery works at its optimal when the iPod Nano 8GB is kept at room temperature.

Don't leave your iPod Nano 8GB inside a car. Never expose your iPod Nano 8GB to direct sunlight as this can damage the iPod. When unattended, click the Pause. Any time you are not using your iPod Nano 8GB, slide the button into the Hold position.

The iPod Nano 8GB will continue to play if left in the play mode, which will cause the iPod battery to drain completely. Make it a habit to turn off your iPod Nano 8GB when you're not using it to conserve battery power. Only use the back lighting feature when you really need it.

This feature uses up much of the reserved battery power. Turn off back lighting unless using it is absolutely needed. Under the Settings menu, choose Back light Timer, then select Off. Most people don't realize that even when their iPod Nano isn't in use, the battery is still running.

A small amount of battery power is still being used, even when your iPod is asleep. Storing your iPod at room temperature will help to conserve the battery. By being proactive, you can enjoy the maximum life your battery has to offer.

Piano For All - Learn How To Play Piano

By Chris Jensen

There are different ways to learn how to play the piano. With the hype of new technology, you can choose to learn how to play the piano online. You can also choose to learn it the traditional way - by ear.

Some might say that it is difficult to learn how to play the piano by ear. Indeed, it can be quite a challenge in the first few stages but as you practice more and progress into the next stages, you will find that the learning process becomes easier.

In learning how to play the piano by ear, you will need to work on melody. You can start by thinking of a song that you believe has a simple melody. Try picking out the notes in the melody then try playing them on a piano. To help you in this process, try to recognize intervals in the melody or the distance between two notes in the melody. Being able to easily determine intervals can help you in picking out a melody easily.

After you have learned about picking out the melody, you can try to start picking out chords. You will need this in harmonizing the melody with the chords. As a review, a chord is a combination of at least three notes that are played all at the same time. Beginners will typically learn three chords at a time, based on the first, fourth, and fifth notes of any scale in any key. As an example, the three basic chords in the C major key are C, F, and G. When taken together, these three chords include all the notes in the key of C.

You will also need to learn more about chord voicing. This refers to playing a chord in positions other than the root. For example, you will not always have to play the chord F in the order F-A-C. You can play it as A-C-F or C-F-A. Changing the position by which you play a chord will give it a different voicing.

Learning how to play the piano by ear will always involve melody, chords, and chord voicing. It is therefore important to keep these three things in mind as you try to learn how to play the piano in the traditional way.

What Everyone Ought To Know About Pro DJ CD Players

By Nik Levesque

It does not matter if you are a professional DJ or you just want to get into the groove of mixing music on your spare time. Acquiring your very own pro DJ CD player should really help you get your creative juices flowing in all the right frequencies. Although there are some music mixing enthusiasts who still prefer the Old School routine of scratching tunes using turntables and vinyl records while injecting their own electronica jazz; more and more people are discovering the advantages of these pro DJ CD players. Some of these advantages include: portability, stored music capacity, ease of use, and even costs.

Portability is the number one reason why people are lining up to get their hands on this gizmo. Unlike conventional sound systems and turntables, you do not need to have boxes of vinyl records and CDs at your feet while doing your thing. You also do not have to lug around your turntable or other mixing paraphernalia as well. This gizmo is actually making it easier for mobile DJs to take in more gigs, without the usual hassle of physically moving (and potentially damaging) valuable equipments. Additionally, these players have enough memory capacity to record your entire vinyl record library and more. Since the pro DJ CD player usually plays CDs and MP3, you can switch from one music type to the other effortlessly.

When it comes to ease of you, the pro DJ CD players should be as simple as popping a disc in a CD player. Only this time, you should also have a responsive turntable at your disposal. There are no complicated switches here, or a step-by-step operational manual. You can literally start your own spin in less than a few minutes. And if you find this player on the hefty side of the bargain, you might consider the fact that you will eventually save money down the line. You can download music from the World Wide Web easily; and you do not have to worry about getting separate players for different music types. At the same time, you can upload your own mixes and sell them online. Since you now have the proper equipment, you can even go pro, if you haven't already. If you are thinking about seriously laying some hard-earned cash on this gizmo, here are some tips on how to find the best deal.

1. What music type can the gizmo accommodate? Regular music CDs are the norm, as well as MP3s. However, there are also some players who carry CDRW software too. If you need CDRW stored music for your music list, then try to scrutinize product specifications carefully. Not all players carry this capacity. Try to also see if you can play a succession of different music types without jarring or delaying. And a CD burning option would be a wonderful addition as well.

2. Does the gizmo allow you to scratch and spin music just like your vinyl turntable? Real time scratch capability is one of the most important features you need to consider. Some of the cheaper brands have 2 to 5 second delay, which is not really a great thing. Additionally, there are also some brands that may have turntable features but these do not feel or work like the ones you normally use. The higher end brands will have real time scratch capacity and feels like you are indeed spinning vinyl.
