Gladiator: An epic saga of power and loyalty. A power thirsty Commodus mercilessly murders his father so he can become ruler of Rome. He then orders the death of Maximus, one of his father's closet friends. Maximus flees, only to be captured and forced to become a Gladiator. Eventually, finding his way back to Rome, Maximus hopes to end the reign of this cruel leader.

Rampage: Pregnant Long Island housewife, unable to deal with married life escapes her husband and picks up a simple minded football competitor on the street. Cast includes Michael Biehn, AIex McArthur, Robert Duvall, Marya Zimmet, Tom Aldredge, and Laurie Crewes. (97 minutes, 1992)

The Iron Mask: Amusing Dumas story later filmed from an informed from point of view of D'Artagnan Fairbanks, who gets to be Louis XIV's safeguarded from birth to a later time. While planning, Rochefort Haupt tries to pass off as a double sibling as an heir to the throne. This lavish, quiet, swashbuckler initially had talking patterns. Good Books To Impressive Films For 2009

A celebrated motion picture can begin as a screenplay that is authored just to be a film, or sometimes a fantastic motion picture is an adaptation of an equally impressive book. Many famous movies begin in the thoughts of a famous writer. Here are a couple of film adaptations from books for the year 2009.

June 2009 brought us the tearjerker story of "My Sister's Keeper" from the novel of the same name by Jodi Picoult. The movie stars Cameron Diaz as the mother and Jason Patric as the father of two daughters, one of whom is very ill and the other of whom was essentially conceived to be a genetic match and keep her sister alive. The book and the movie will both bring you to tears at time, but the distorted ending on the movie will likely be disappointing to the readers of the book.

In theaters in August 2009, is "The Time Traveler's Wife" from the popular novel by Audrey Niffenegger. Starring Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams, it is a passionate chronicle that follows the life of a man who travels through time and his marriage to his soul mate.

The next motion picture was based upon 2 books, "My Life in France" by Julia Child and Alex Prud-homme and "Julie and Julia: 365 days, 524 recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen' by Julie Powell. In theaters now,"Julie and Julia" is an enjoyable comedy about the intertwining lives of these two women.

2009 marks the 40th anniversary of what has been billed as the greatest rock concert in history. "Taking Woodstock" is adapted from the memoir of Elliot Tibor, a young gay man who played a part in making the concert happen. The motion picture is directed by Ang Lee.

From one of the most pleasurable and funniest children's books to come out in years, "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" will hit theaters in September 2009. It will star Anna Faris, James Caan, and from Saturday Night Live, Bill Hader, Andy Samberg and Tracy Morgan and others. The book was side-splitting; lets hope the movie lives up to it.

October 2009 will bring us another classic kid's book. Like the book of the same name "Where the Wild Things Are" will follow the adventures of Max, who imagines that he sails away to the location where all of the wild things roam.

A couple of more serious movies will hit the theaters in 2009. "The Road" will come out in October 2009. It will star Viggo Mortensen and Charlize Theron. It is based upon the Pulitzer prize winning and famous story by Cormac McCarthy. The story follows a father and son and their journey in post apocalyptic times. In December 2009, "The Lovely Bones" from the tale of the same name by Alice Sebold arrives in theaters. This is a tear-jerker story about a young girl who was murdered and how she watches over her family from heaven.

In Christianity we call the primal vibration, from which everything comes from, the word. In Hinduism the equivalent is the sound word or mantra OM. OM and the word express the universal principle, a cosmic sound or vibration, which is the original source for everything that exists.

Pythagoras describes the same thing in his philosophical ideas in the Music of the Spheres, where it is stated that the physical sound that we hear is but a reflection of the LOGOS (Greek) meaning the cosmic sound.

Christianity And The Word

The Christian tradition speaks of the power of the word. God speaks words and creates universes. "God said: Let there be light. And light came" (book of Moses). God utters words and the universe is created.

This is symbolically a form of sound emanation from a higher reality, which we in our physical reality call a word. The symbolism is clear, and is the same in different spiritual and religious traditions; reality is created by sound or vibration.

OM and ATOM

The terminology and the organization of knowledge are completely different in the Upanishads and in modern physics, but besides this fact there are lots of similarities supporting the idea that OM is the original cosmic sound vibration and source. OM is a subtle audible sound- a vibration.

Upon closer inspection of the atom we find that all matter vibrates. Vibration and music are poetically linked in the words of physicist Dr. Donald Hatch: "The universe is not made of matter, but music".

Sound And Matter

Matter is in fact completely illusory, all matter being made up of atoms which themselves are separated by vast distances compared with their size. Atoms are not solid but are made up of vibrating energy in movement.

The scientist Donald Andrews describes the universe as consisting of atoms which send out a main tone, which then combine in groups forming molecules which he poetically sees as being cosmic chords. All matter and forms can be seen as living entities comprised of chords with each their own complex sound.

OM And Our Everyday Life

The creation myths might not only be the story of how the world once was created, but could also be a symbolic description about the process of creation that is ongoing, and which each one of us is a part of. It is the creation and maintenance of each and every little atom and the realities we are creating with our minds and emotions. And it is going on right now, not in the eternal remote past! If we manage to be in accordance with life, we will be harmonious and happy.

Matter comes from vibration, matter is cosmic sound. Matter is OM which has been crystallized. The universe and earth only exist because the word is being continuously emanated. Without the word there would be only pure empty space called Ananda by the ancient yogis of India, which was the original state of the universe before manifestation.

For a yogi OM is just as real as the air he breaths. Christian mystics have felt the power of the Word inside and around them and known that the whole creation is neither complete nor ended, but is an ongoing process.

We have to understand that we are all co creators of the universe through the continual creation of our own WORDS or Music, continually bringing into manifestation through our thoughts, longings, desires and speech. We alone can choose whether our symphony is in harmony or not with the cosmic symphony.

So be ever mindful of what you send out because the universe hears your song!

The celloin design, is crafted in intricate detailing in the top and side. These skilled etchings are referred to as, purling. These intricate designs are etched for decoration. But, after they become apart of the instrument's body, they become mended to the instrument as a whole. If a purling is chipped or split, it will continue running down the body of the cello and damage the whole thing.

Others prefer cellos made of carbon fiber because they say the sounds are of a unique clarity. Also, carbon fiber and aluminum cellos are known to last a long time and be resistant to splintering, chipping, or running.

Cellos have other intricate parts such as, the peg box, holes, and scroll. The wooden neck exists towards the top of the violin giving it a classical look. The peg box sits above the carved neck and the fingerboard makes way to the peg box, which secures the strings and includes keys for tuning. The scroll is the swirly end of wood that is located on the top. Scrolls are traditional to cellos and most stringed instruments of this group.

The strings of the cello are usually made of metal or synthetic materials. Most of the cellos sold today are stringed with aluminum or titanium. Also, chrome is sometimes used as well. As with all these type instruments, musicians possess their ideas and preferences on what type of strings they have to use.

The base portion of the cello contains strings, a tailpiece, end pin, bridge, and f-holes which are holes in the shape of the letter F. Then, next up the line, the bridge contains the strings up above the hollow. The f-holes are the f-shaped craters on either side of the aforementioned metal bridge. The tailpiece secures all the strings in place against the hollow of the torso. Then, even lower, the end pin weights the object for optimum play.
