Staircase: Stun value of Burton and Harrison as a gay couple was all this film had going for it in 1969, and nothing has changed as long as then, with the exception of increased viewer interest. No Minor Vices: Arrogant comedy in which stereotypically off beat performer Jordan tries to come between pediatrician Andrews and spouse Palmer. Starts off well however slows down. Cast includes Lewis Milestone, Dana Andrews, Lilly Palmer, Louis Jordan, Jane Wyatt, Bernard Gorcey, and Man Bridges. (96 minutes, 1948)
King of Jazz: Million dollar musical revue, shot in 2-color Technicolor format, is filled with bigger-than-life production numbers and remarkable melodies. Highlights contain Walter Lantz's animation pattern, Joe Venuti's swing violin, youthful Bing Crosby with the Tempo Boys, and, obviously, Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" which in early Technicolor is more a rhapsody in turquoise. Cast includes Paul Whiteman and His Orchestra, John Boles, Jeanette Loff, The Tempo Boys Bing Crosby, Al Rinker, and Harry Barris. (93 minutes, 1930)
Outbreak: deadly virus has hit Cedar Creek, California. Highly transferable, in a short time the virus is spreading fast. The other problem, once infected you have less than 24 hours to live. The virus must be contained, so people are sequestered if they are near the outbreak areas.
Executive Decision: A 747 with 400 passengers has been hi-jacked. One intelligence analyst thinks the terrorist plan to drop nerve gas on the nation's capitol. If he is right, the plane must be stopped.
Starsky and Hutch: Starsky and Hutch are detectives in the Bay City police department. These two are undercover cops back in the 70's. Somehow these two total opposites combine to make a great detective team.
Addicted to Love: This movie is a dark comedy which where we see an ex-boyfriend, and an ex-girlfriend spying on their former partners. They find themselves teamed together, with the young lady planning acts of revenge for her former man. Meg Ryan, Matthew Broderick, Kelly Preston, and Tcheky Karyo star. (1997 dark comedy directed by Griffin Dunne)
No Love for Johnnie: Civilized research of congressmen who cares only in regards to winning the ballot. Cast includes Peter Finch, Stanley Holloway, Mary Peach, Mervyn Johns, Donald Pleasence, Dennis Cost, and Oliver Reed. (110 minutes, 1961)
