Sharp Outlines Of Some Major Motion Pictures

Hoppity Goes to Town: A delightful excited film in regards to occupants of Worm-Ville and their assorted complications living in a human world, and bullied by villainous C. Bagley Beetle. Excellent looking film however an uninteresting tale. (77 minutes, 1941)

Lars and the Real Girl: Nice film in regards to socially shocked Gosling, who buys a life sized doll and treats her as if she's alive, to the appall of his older sibling, and brother in law, and the neighbors in their tight knit society. Luckily, an understanding physician (Clarkson) guides them in the right direction. Cast includes Ryan Gosling, Emily Mortimer, Patricia Clarkson, Kelli Gamer, and Paul Schneider. (106 minutes, 2007)

Cherish: Unconventional tale of a black sheep who's victimized by a stalker and then engaged in a mishap that lands her in prison however her "jail" is a condo, with an electric gadget shackled to her ankle limiting her movement. In time, the deputy who controls the instrument becomes her only buddy. Crisp, unique thriller set in San Francisco. Cast includes Robin Tunney, Tim Blake Nelson, Nora Dunn, Brad Seek, Lindsay Crouse, Liz Phair, and Jason Priestley. (102 minutes, 2002)

Gorgo: This film is an excellent sci-fi tale of a captured ocean beast put on display in London, and the massive parent, who is coming to the rescue. The film has excellent visual effects. Cast includes Bill Travers, William Sylvester, Vincent Fall, Bruce Seton, and Joseph O?Connor. (78 minutes, 1961)

Red Sun: East meets West in this strange tale of a samurai fighter chasing a priceless Japanese sword stolen from a train crossing the American West. Cast includes Charles Bronson, Ursula Andress, Toshiro Mifune, Alain Delon, and Capucine. (112 minutes, 1972)

Big Shots: So-so adolescent venture in reference to an ignorant white boy and streetwise city black that come together and find themselves hired as hit men. Cast includes Ricky Busker, Darius McCrary, Robert Delight, Robert Prosky, Jerzy Skolimowski, and Paul Winfield. (90 minutes, 1987)

Shadowlands: A poignant, prudent, peacefully gratifying drama in regards to British author C. S. Lewis (Ackland), a verified bachelor, and how he is changed when he falls in love with American divorcee Bloom. Quality work is done by the megastars utilizing an outstanding award caliber script by William Nicholson. Cast includes Joss Ackland, Claire Bloom, David Waller, and Rupert Baderman. (90 minutes, 1985)

Following: A fascinating ultra low spending limit precursor to Nolan's ?Souvenir?, another nonlinear tale in regards to a youthful aimless guy who plans to follow individuals, just for the hell of it until one of his "subjects" turns the tables and tempts him into his own world, where he pillages vacant apartments and invades his victim?s lives. Cast includes Jeremy Theobald, Alex Haw, Lucy Russell, and John Nolan. (71 minutes, 1999)

Marigold: Offensive grade-B Hollywood actress ("I don't do ?thankful? very well," she admits) goes to India to make a film, only to find that the production has fallen aside. Before long she's employed to partake in a Bollywood film, and a relationship grows between her and the handsome choreographer. Cast includes Ali Larter, Salman Khan, Nandana Sen, Ian Bohen, Helen Khan, Suchitra Pillai, and Shari Watson. (112 minutes, 2007)
